| Mobile unit launched at Venue Cymru | |

Wednesday saw the launch of the new Deaf Association mobile unit at the hugely successful Information and Celebration day at Venue Cymru. The aim of the new unit is to take the services NWDA offer out to the population of North Wales raising awareness of deaf issues and offering help to people who may not have access to the services or cannot reach us at Mochdre. Huw Vaughn Thomas of the Big Lottery Fund Wales cut the ribbon on the vehicle at the beginning of the event. The award of the grant will also pay for the services of an Information Officer who will drive the bus, make referrals and demonstrate equipment. The Information day was considered to be a great success, being attended by a large representation of organisations, and a great return for all the hard work put in by the NWDA |
